TRANSFIL Sewing Thread: Nearly Invisible, Suitable for Quilting

TRANSFIL sewing thread is nearly invisible and is perfect for quilting and other projects where you want the thread to blend in with the fabric. It is a semi-transparent thread that can be used on the sewing machine as both the upper and bobbin thread. TRANSFIL sewing thread is also available in a 1000m/1094yds spool, which is ideal for quilting projects.

Here are some tips for using TRANSFIL sewing thread:
- Use a universal sewing machine needle in size 80 / 12 or 90 / 14.
- Use the same colour of TRANSFIL sewing thread for both the upper and bobbin thread.
- Use a slightly longer stitch length than you would for conventional sewing thread.
- Use a slightly looser thread tension than you would for conventional sewing thread.
- If you are having trouble sewing with TRANSFIL sewing thread, try using a Teflon presser foot to prevent the thread from sticking to the needle plate.

Additional tips for quilting:
- Use a stabiliser to prevent the fabric from puckering.
- Use a sharp needle to prevent the thread from breaking.
- Use a slow sewing speed to ensure the stitches are even.

- Trim any excess thread after quilting.

The sewing thread is suitable for the sewing machine.

Optimal sewability
Perfect sewability as upper and bobbin thread on conventional sewing machines. Please ensure the bobbin case is metal, as a plastic bobbin case may break.

Reduced light fastness
Due to its construction and raw material, TRANSFIL has a limited UV resistance and is therefore not suitable for applications with high UV radiation.

Gliding properties
The thread tension must be adjusted from machine to machine; thus an optimal loop is guaranteed.

TRANSFIL is manufactured in compliance with internationally recognised ecological requirements and is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
